How tokens, tips and private shows work

Public cam rooms are free to watch, and nothing on LustWave Cams costs money. Spending happens on the provider site, mostly through tokens. Here is how the common features work so you can decide what, if anything, is worth paying for.

The basics

Free to watch, optional to pay

Opening a public room from this directory is free. You can watch the stream and usually read the chat as a guest. Paid features exist on top of that, and every one of them is optional.

What tokens are

Most providers use a virtual currency, usually called tokens, bought in packages on the provider site. Larger packages tend to cost less per token. Prices, package sizes and taxes are set by the provider and can change, so check the purchase page rather than relying on figures quoted elsewhere.

Where the money goes

When you tip, the performer receives a share and the provider keeps the rest. If you reached the provider through an affiliate link on LustWave Cams, the provider may also pay this site a commission out of its share — it never adds to what you pay.

Inside a room

Tips, tip menus and goals

Tips

A tip is a voluntary token payment shown in chat. Many viewers tip simply to say thanks or to get noticed.

Tip menus

Many performers post a tip menu listing requests and their prices, such as a song choice, an outfit change or a specific action. The menu is the performer’s own and is usually shown in the room description or pinned in chat. Reading it is the quickest way to know what a room offers before you spend.

Goals and countdowns

A room title may show a goal, for example a show that starts once tips reach a total. Goals are shared by everyone in the room, so you can enjoy the result without tipping yourself.

Interactive toys

In Lovense rooms, tips can trigger a connected toy for a few seconds, with stronger or longer reactions at higher amounts. The levels are set by the performer and run on the provider’s integration; LustWave Cams has no control over them.

Beyond public chat

Ticket, group and private shows

Ticket and group shows

A performer can switch to a ticketed show that only paying viewers can see. Once it starts, the room drops out of the public feed, which is one of the most common reasons a room disappears from a category page.

Private shows

A private show is a one-on-one session billed per minute at a rate the performer sets. Some providers let other viewers “spy” on a private show for a lower rate. Check the rate and any minimum length shown before you start, and remember the meter runs until the show ends.

Fan clubs and subscriptions

Some performers offer monthly fan memberships with perks such as access to their photos or a badge in chat. These renew automatically until cancelled in your provider account settings.

Staying in control

Simple ways to manage spending

Decide on a budget before you buy tokens and buy only what fits it. Start with the smallest package, avoid saving card details on shared devices, and use any spending limits or purchase notifications the provider offers. If a request is not on a tip menu, ask in chat before tipping rather than assuming.

Problems with a payment are handled by the provider’s support team, since LustWave Cams never processes payments. For more on keeping your account and card details safe, read our privacy tips for watching cams. Curious about the other side of the camera? See how to become a cam model.

Frequently asked

Questions and answers

Do I have to pay to watch live cams?

No. Public rooms are free to watch as a guest. Tokens are only needed for optional extras such as tips, ticket shows and private shows.

How much does a private show cost?

The performer sets a per-minute rate, shown before the show starts. Some providers also set a minimum length, so check both before you begin.

Can I get a refund for tokens?

Refunds are handled by the provider’s support team under its own policy. LustWave Cams never processes payments and cannot issue refunds.

Does LustWave Cams take a cut of my tips?

No. The provider may pay the site a commission from its own share when you arrive through an affiliate link, but it never adds to what you pay or reduces what the performer earns from your tip.
